Over the holidays I worked on a few things. My favourite of all were the Cuddle-Me Stufflings and when I get a chance, I'll definitely make the pattern up for my shop.

In the large pic, from left to right is Daisy, Dapply and Posy. Aren't they sweet?
I also made three bunny friends especially for Blythe, Secret Dolls or Lati Dolls. I love the little boy bunny (Binkin) in the centre at right! I made him a pair of cross-over suspenders with little bead "buttons".
These are Valentine's Day Love Bird ornaments. I've been wanting to design some sort of bird for a while, but could never settle on what sort of shape to use. I thought that these would be perfect as hanging ornaments that could be kept up all year round. Hope you like them:)
And lastly, this is Harriet. I made her specially for my hubby's grandma who lives on Vancouver Island. She's made from hand woven felt and a sweet Japanese bunny fabric. I sent her off in the mail a couple of days ago, so I can't wait to hear what she thinks of her!
I've got so many plans for this year and will share them all as they happen! It seems that my head works quicker than my fingers and it's filled with all sorts of dolls and animals just waiting to come out!
Warmest wishes for a magical 2012!!
hugs,
~Shelly

I love Harriet. Is she going to be a pattern?
ReplyDeleteYes, eventually I will do up her pattern too. I have a lot to fiddle around with for her design though and want it to be perfect before I do offer it:)
ReplyDeleteHarriet has a super sweet face.
ReplyDeleteAs for the new layout, I find that the side bar images sorta overflow. If there was a way to distinctly section it off it would help.
I usually read your blog via google reader, where I can't see the blog design, but scooted over to see the changes. I love the font, and do find the darker color used on the your bloglist on the left easier to read.
ReplyDeletePretty new designs!
You just made my new year! Harriet is going to be a pattern!!!! Thank you and can't wait. Love the other sweeties too!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Shelly! You have such a talent, such an eye and it's apparent in everything you create...I am always amazed. So cute!
ReplyDeleteEverything is beautiful Shelly. I know how you feel, so many ideas and only one pair of hands. Hope you have a great 2012.
ReplyDeleteThank you everyone! After much fussing and fiddling, I think I've finally settled on this new design and hope that you all find it easy to follow. Out with the old, in with the new:)

ReplyDeleteLol!! Thanks Kimber! I promise not to keep you waiting too long!
ReplyDeleteThese new makes are just gorgeous. You not only design beautiful things but you really do have a way with colours too. How big are they?

ReplyDeleteWarmly,

Super cute x3
ReplyDeleteLove the new look...my only wish is that the font was a teeny bit darker for my old eyes:)
ReplyDeleteOh wonderful! I'm so glad you like the new design! I just love it:) Mary Ann, I'll see what I can do about darkening the font to make it easier - it does look a tad too light.
ReplyDeleteI am so in love with Harriet !!! Oh to be so talented as you are ...... can't wait for her pattern :)
ReplyDeleteAgree with one of your commenters that it would be easier on elderly eyes for the font to be darker - and I don't think it would interfere with how your designs look either: they are great by the way, especially the birds! Wish my arthritic fingers could work so small!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year - don't think you're going to have too much difficulty selling all your new ideas!
Wow, love the new look for your blog! It's so shiny and very professional looking.<3
ReplyDeleteAw, Harriet is so very cute...I just want to cuddle her. *giggles* I know, I can never draw fast enough to get all my idea's on paper, thank goodness for my sketch pad to doodle on though, other wise my head would probably explode with them. lol.. Hope you are having a great weekend!
I love your new blog design. But more than that, I love all your creations. So cute!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Sharlene, Isobel, Erin and Marlene! I'm hoping to have the new patterns ready some time in February.
ReplyDeleteI hope the darker font is better on the eyes now:)
Love all the new stuffies! Are any of them larger . . . as in huggable for kids?
ReplyDeleteHi Skooks! Thank you! Yes, the Cuddle Stufflings are about 8.5 inches tall and the Sweetie Pie doll (Harriet) measures about 11 inches tall.
ReplyDeleteI love your new blog design and I especially love your new stufflings!!! Happy 2012!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year Shelly...... I love the little birdies....

ReplyDeleteoh wow, I think Harriet is the most gorgeous doll I've ever seen! I love her hair and her cheeks and her skirt is perfect. I hope you do make a pattern for her, though I doubt I'd be able to do her justice!

ReplyDeleteI just found your blog and am so happy to see your wonderful work! I love your work, and am curious about the doll in the picture with the blue hair. I would love to find one just like it to begin making some clothes and accesories for it. Where did you get that doll? Thanks
