International Dolls

Hello dear friends!  I've been working on a new collection called International Dolls and just wanted to share the first three that I've made so far.

From left to right:  Japanese Geisha, Dutch Girl and a British Palace Guard (or Beefeater).  My plan is to make a set of eight - not telling what the others are, so you'll have to pop over soon to see what they are;)

I also completed another collection called Cotton Candy Dolls.  Many of you will recognize Julip from my last post, but I've added two more dolls to the set and each has a different outfit and little pair of shoes.

Once I've finished creating all the International Dolls, I'll be working to make both collections available as patterns.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend:)

New Dolls and a Mother's Day Sale!!

Good morning!  It's such a lovely morning here in BC, the sun's out and the birds are singing!  Spring is finally here in our little corner of the world!

I've been working on some new dolls this past week and will be ready to write up the patterns for them in the next few days.  The first two are little French entertainers:  A clown and a mime.

That's Pierrot on the left and Pierre on the right.

Next up is a little doll, similar to the little one you probably saw if you entered the last giveaway I held.  This one is a tad bigger and measures about 7 inches tall.  I've made her hair out of the most beautiful Tussah silk wool roving and needle felted it onto her head.  I've got two more cut out and am planning to make another little girl with a different outfit as well as a boy.

This is Julip.  I just love how she turned out!

I just want to wish all the moms out there a very happy Mother's Day!  Hope you have a wonderful weekend!  To celebrate, I'm having a sale in my etsy shop!  Enter HAPPYMOTHERSDAY at the checkout to receive 15% off all patterns this weekend!

Little Doll Giveaway

I've been working on a new design for a doll today and decided that I wanted to make her hair out of a beautiful Tassah Silk wool roving that I purchased some time ago.  So, once she was all sewn up, I needle felted strips of roving onto her head and was really quite pleased with the results!  Now that she's all finished, I've decided that it might be nice to have a little giveaway with her as the prize!

She measures just over 5 inches tall, her little dress is removable and her hair may be styled very gently, no brushing or combing though.  I used an orange stick to 'arrange' it, but you could tie it up with a ribbon or put it into braids.

If you'd like to enter the draw, please leave your name and email address and I will pick a winner on Thursday, May 10.  I will then contact the winner via email and request their mailing address so I can pop her off to her new home:)

Best of luck to you all!!
